Gary LaDrido

Gary LaDrido has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, and has advised on initial public offerings (IPOs) and private financings both domestically and internationally.

As Founder and Managing Partner of Sustainable Capital Markets, LLC — a strategy and financial advisory firm with an exclusive focus on sustainability — Gary leads the delivery of the firm's specialized impact investment banking, advisory and consulting services.

Previously, Gary was a Vice President and member of Morgan Stanley's Clean Energy Team, where he advised issuers on raising capital, timing to IPO and associated valuation considerations. As a fund placement agent, he specializes in syndicating co-investments and arranging private placements of limited partnership interests with experienced and successful fund managers, drawing on global institutional investors including pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, insurers and family offices.

Gary has advised utilities, IPPs, landowners, developers, investors and other global sponsors on complex infrastructure transactions across solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, biomass and biofuels, water, waste-to-energy, smart grid, battery manufacturing, battery recycling, energy storage and data centers. Over his career he has executed equity and equity-linked transactions in excess of $15 billion.

As a management consultant and Fellow of the Governance & Accountability Institute, Gary provides value-added insight into corporate strategy and the energy transition, drawing on his experience advising Fortune Global 500 companies and governments on the commercial implications of climate technology and the next economy.

Gary earned a BS from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a registered securities professional and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
